CIRCLES ON THE WATER

Kids believe in their immortality, they are ducks.

they dive in the lake without any load. the man on another

shore of the lake screams: vodka has finished! no percentages,

no sense. from behind the reed, the big-eyed guards of reed bed

watches a bent in half brunette, a poor imitation of the sinusoid

on a decaying bridge. how to capture the snapshots now?

close eyes, open eyes, struck dump?

Again the sun was waking me up for nine days,

though I should be reading the future from clouds -

they were so filthy. now all plans, shoes,

sleepless nights I have to pack in a sack

and cover them all with needle and rot in the forest.

my happiness don't cry, don't howl, don’t shout.

sometimes too many differences, sometimes the roads converge.

TWO BROTHERS

They don't know each other too well, it's not their fault,

that's what their mother’s fate was. the lights on the trees,

two brothers in an Audi are talking about nothing.

maybe they would like to chat about something important,

about their own lives or in general, but maybe the fact

that they are driving and talking, the lights are shining,

that's worth more than what's going on at night.
