MOHINDERDEEP GREWAL

MOHINDERDEEP GREWAL

AS ODE TO SPRING

Leafless vine did cling to the wall
Frozen chill of winter did Fall
Stood with sullen and grim face back
All the blood-sap did have it lack.

Warm Wind came 'n touched to awake
To bring back Green what trees forsake
Kissing the buds for them to flower
For air to uplift fragrance to shower

All around laughter, all around smiles
And the dance of flowers beguiles
Feet do dance and hearts do throb
For rhyme they press on music's knob.

Through the old leaves, new leaves peep
The shrubs do shine and green grass creep
Birds do flutter and butterflies dance
Hearts do soften to seek for a chance

Chirrup chrip chrip chrip chrip chrip clang
Bang bang bang bang bang bang rang
Leaves and petals as hands do shake
And say," We are all of Natures' make.

In our veins same Nature's Love flows
On our faces His colors do glow
Colorless light do colors disperse
That gives stars, moons and Universe

Disperse colors and disperse love
Fly the symbol of Peace white Dove
Spring says, come and dance as One
Without my Love and Shine is none.

POETRY AND LOVE

Poetry and love
Live together
Can never be deleted
From the pages of history.

Poetry and love
Are always together
When a new born
Tenderly presses and suckles
The soft warm breasts
And mother putting her hand
on the back of the kid's head
Presses to her with passionate touch.

Poety and love are always there
When a fascinated child runs after butterflies
In fields full of flowers
When he plays and splashes in streams
Feels the shivering thrills in rising and falling waves.

Poetry and love are together
When a tender touch of opposite gender
Or glance of loving eyes creates strange sensations
Makes hearts throb fast with desire to be one
Forgetting what is the sacred or the sin
Creative surge of art opens it's buds to flower.

Poetry and love are there together
When like yellow brown leaves
With withered wrinkled parched skins
We fall in the arms of mother earth to be her part
The mother earth lulls to lasting sleep
To let one merge to emerge again.

Poetry and love are always together
In all stages of life in our history
Only the meanings are different

ASPIRATIONS

The wind asked the rain drop
Go and be a stream.
The drop streamed and called back
Blow to give life breath to the living.

Sun asked the spray of the Spring
Open your arms to embrace the rainbow
The Spring pressed the rainbow to the heart
And called back," Spread you colors in the universe."

The bee asked the flower
Open up the colorful petals and spread fragrance
The fragrance smiled and called back;
Come and give me kiss of the life blood.

The dream flew to the sky and asked
Give my hope shine of your stars
The stars twinkled and called back
Be truth of the Time and the Dawn.

The hope asked the dove
Fly and spread love and peace
The dove flew around and called back,
Be presence in every suffering eye.

YOU ARE THE LOVE ------------

You are the Love
Ever evolving
Ever dissolving
The truth -seen unseen
Ever pulsating
Ever throbbing
The creative of the creation
The Timeless
A form or formless
Love free of births
Everlasting
A blessing

You are Truth of origin
Truth of present
Truth of ages
True--to be true
I see you everywhere
Inland, sea and sky
Truth of stars, suns and the moons
Humming sounds silent love in space.
I hear sudden burst of notes
Rise and fall of waves like
Rustling sound the skirts
Smiles and shine of your existence
Seen -unseen fire burning
Internal or external
Flame of ever burning fire of Love
The Love that is He and The She
Combined in Oneness
Of present, of eternity.
A song of evolution
Ever flowing music of in Space
Around us

You are the Love
You are the Creation
You are the source
To merge and emerge again.

MOTHER EARTH NATURE

O, Mother
You gave me birth
Fed me by your blood
Fed me by your breasts
Cradled me in your arms
Taught me stand on my feet
Taught me walking
By holding my arms and hands
Taught me love by caressing me
Taught me how to protect
Against changing weather
You cried to see me in pain,
Tickled me to make me laugh
Taught me to respect father
Whom you loved to be my father.

Mother, you are not only mother
Who fed me putting morsels in my mouth
Who nursed me with nursing hands
You are like Mother Earth
Who roots trees deep to stand firm footed
And teaches to fight against storms.

You are mother, earth and Nature
As what I am today is all due to you
I salute you, O, my mother.
As Mother Earth, as Mother Nature.
