VERICA TADIĆ

VERICA TADIĆ

ENCOUNTER

The air is dancing
In the opium
If red poppies

The universe is signing

On
The petals
Of kisses

Larvae of the Moment

Transform
Into butterflies
Of eternity

ON LANDSCAPES OF HOPE

If I am a tear
Blue in your eye

And a thought
By which
You stretch wings
To butterflies of joy

Then
I could be also
Your travelling companion

Through high and low tides
On the sea of life

If you are
Chlorophyllous Easter
On the landscapes of hope

Which
By energy
Of refined colors

In the humus
Of monotonous
Everyday life

Revives brightness

Then
Me too
Could be

Singing string
On your lyra

When
Hours sink
In wordlessness

And
Blaming lullaby
To the echo
Of your
Inquietude

When
The open sea
Of still undreamed
Dawns

Ruffles
In a storm

MERIDIANS OF THE SOUL

Death is final
When a thousand of me
Dies in a thousand of you

And when a thousand of you
Dies in a thousand of me

All other deaths
Do not count

Life is not
What looks like life

When we return
Divided

Into my and your
Meridians of the soul

And everybody
Welcomes
Victories
And defeats alone

Although we know
That divided
Into mine and yours

We will not
Arrive
To us
By the same
Roads

If we
Are separated
By equator of emptiness

And icy archipelago of emptiness
Takes away the heat
From the looks

Then we
Have already

Lived our lives
Through
