For Peace In The World

 

May peace awakens all across the earth,

may golden sunlight warm us, chasing clouds of gray.

We long for smiles, for freedom, joy, and hope,

let love's true paths forever guide our way.

 

Let nature bloom in all her grace,

for she belongs to every heart and land.

Do not destroy the gifts she freely gives,

for she remembers all by nature's hand,

even when your eyes can no longer see.

 

Let the young embrace the light of life;

let sorrow cast no shadow on their days.

Do not teach them hatred for one another,

for hatred fills the world with grief and pain.

 

Let children keep the wonder of their youth.

Teach them to give with love and to receive.

Every child deserves a place of peace,

a safe haven where their dreams may gently breathe,

not hands that steal their innocence away.

 

Offer peace to one another.

If you take this world's bright light,

its darkness will return to you.

Be humble, grateful, cherish every breath,

for no one has the right

to imprison another's peace.

 

Release each other from pain and hate,

what good have they ever done?

Peace is the gift we all are searching for.

Why turn against each other,

making this beautiful world

a kingdom built on sorrow and chains?

 

Long live peace.

May your hearts forever shine with light.

It takes so little,

only one sincere,

truly human embrace.

 

Your Haven Of Happiness

 

Wherever life may lead your way,

may fortune walk with you each day.

May every step be touched with gold,

and every dream your heart can hold.

 

Let all you do flow from your soul,

never hide to fit a role.

Stand in the light of who you are,

don't fade beneath another's star.

your worth to those who bring you pain.

or dim your spirit, even for a while.

for it lives deep within your heart inside.

 

Guard that flame with all your might;

don't let anyone erase its light.

Peace of soul has no price to pay,

nor can it ever be replaced one day.

 

Create your own sweet place of grace,

a sanctuary, your sacred space.

Invite inside just those who care,

whose love is honest, kind and fair.

 

Even if only one remains,

a faithful heart outweighs the chains.

For you deserve what's pure and bright,

because you, too, are a precious light.

 

Treasure yourself, your heart, your flame,

all the beauty that bears your name.

Shine even brighter, despite those who frown,

for the fairest rose still wears a crown of thorns.

DANIJELA ĆUK: The author's name is Danijela Ćuk, she was born on May 25, 1989. in Vukovar with residence in Čavli (Croatia). The author is engaged in writing poetry, so far, she has published three independent collections of poetry entitled: "Positive to Life", "Strength of Love" and "Lioness Women" and has participated in over 30 joint collections of poetry. Her poems have been published in numerous international magazines and portals and have been awarded with numerous diplomas and recognitions. In addition to writing, Danijela is also involved in volunteering.
