MICHELA
ZANARELLA
IN LYRE’S MELODIES
(THE MYTH OF HERMES)
The depth of the words, where to
look for?
Perhaps in lyre’s melodies
where Hermes posts sowing
endless?
At the origin of a verb
subtle looks of orators and poets
console themselves
of heavenly step
illuminating the branch
and the human backdrop.
*
IN MELODIE DI LIRA (al mito di
Hermes)
La profondità delle parole dove
cercarla?
Forse in melodie di lira
in cui Hermes semina messaggi
senza fine?
All' origine di un verbo
sguardi sottili di oratori e poeti
si consolano
del passo celeste
che illumina il ramo
ed il fondale umano.
THE LIGHT’S BREATH
I quench the thirst
the light’s breath,
I push with force the eyelids
at dawn.
Let me be born
next to an open border,
in the sky language I resurface.
Subjected to light
of madness
I have no soul.
It scares me who I faced:
my destiny,
shroud of memory and clouds.
**
DEL RESPIRO DELLA LUCE
Mi disseto
del respiro della luce,
spingo con forza le palpebre
verso l'alba.
Mi lascio nascere
accanto ad un confine aperto,
in lingua di cielo riaffioro.
Sottomessa a chiarore
di follia,
non ho più anima.
Mi spaventa chi ho di fronte:
il mio destino,
che è sudario
di memoria e nuvole.
LIKE TREES
They have piled up
centuries
like trees
in this world
that knows of fights
and gaping bones.
My shape insists
to remove losses
in a sky that dies.
And thin it become shame
of the blood that is repeated.
COME ALBERI
Si sono ammucchiati
secoli
come alberi
in questo mondo
che sa di risse
e di ossa spalancate.
La mia sagoma insiste
ad allontanare smarrimenti
in un cielo che muore.
E sottile si fa vergogna
del sangue che si ripete.
