CHEN HSIU -CHEN

CHEN HSIU-CHEN

PEOPLE AND GOD
人與神

I.

The people on both sides of the war
believe the same God.

The left side insists——the truth is ours,
The right side insists——the justice is ours.

Both sides face toward the same God at same time
to pray for the victory on the same battlefield.

The God is separated into two halves
and caught in a dilemma.

2.
The people on both sides of the war
believedifferent Gods.

Both sides face toward own God to pray
for the victory on the same battlefield.

The left side insists own to be victory,
The right side insists opposite to be defeated.

The war between people to people
becomes an innocent war
between God to God.

The people utilizes missiles to decide
whose God
is a real one.

BRONZE STATUE
銅像

1.
Even incapable of turning back
the bronze statue erects on
an artificially raised basement
and looks down on the whole world.

After mastication of history
for some tens years,
by now, a little bit residue
of memory cannot be spat out.

The bronze statue with nobody in his eyes
lost himself in the disordered time an space intersection
being in a daze for long years.

Standing on the turning point of history
the bronze statue
is a dementia old man lost his way.

2.
Tough
competition with mummy
which one would be much more immortal.

The bronze statue compares with mummy
the latter has laid down
the former sustains to stand faintly.

The one provides a soft strength
able to occupy  a position
in the famous museum.

The another is
still unable to find out
a place in history.

PEACH BLOSSOM
桃花

You said
nobody likes real peach blossom
everybody loves
the plastic flower without tears.

However,
I have been long since
and so far still
beside you.

Your eyes are busy in weeping,
anyway,
without finding me.
