ANNA CZACHOROWSKA

ANNA CZACHOROWSKA

YOU ARE GONE…

Love — the illusion of wings...
Sydney Smith

You are gone from my thoughts
like an angel

Quietly and noiselessly

Indifference
took me by the hand

Pulled out like a tooth
Longing

Quickly and painlessly

AS IF IT’S COOLER

As if it's cooler
between ourselves
This autumn
the fire in the fireplace
went out long ago
Mr. November
into a grey mouse
has turned
The warmth of your hand
he hid in the dream

IN THE WINTER

In the winter snuggling up to the fire
I will blow out the snowflakes
With the dreams I will trot with a sledge
I will touch the edge of luck

And I will see in all its glory
a falling star
Maybe it will resurrect the old love
now dying

SO MUCH LOVE IN YOU

To Grażyna Skowron-Matkowska

In you there is so, so much love
not a sea, but an ocean of loving
In you there is so, so much tenderness
how so the bitterness of sweet waiting?

You still love the one you do not need
the volcano of feelings erupts at the wrong time
The lava must bury the naivety
you no longer will raise the flame that went out

This waiting for fate as in a fairy tale
maybe longer than life
All the nights will find their way through the fingers
Your days are in the summer bloom

Do not run away from yourself, from people
what has to be, will be
When the mind is asleep, the heart awakens
The temptations will not leave you

Again, you stand on the platform of life
here is the cash, here a ticket to paradise
In the mirror, your reflection in the veil
white winter will greet you in May

In you there is so, so much love
not a sea, but an ocean of loving
In you there is so, so much tenderness
how so the chill of hot waiting?
