SCOTT THOMAS OUTLAR

SCOTT THOMAS OUTLAR

EASY DOES IT

Watching you sleep peacefully
as your head rests on my chest
through the still of night

creates a more powerful poem
than simple words could ever arrange
come the break of new day

TRICKY TRICKY

Second wind survivalist
flask of coffee secure at hip
kratom cherry bomb deliverance
hidden deep in her pocket buzz

Five ace fever junkie
getting high on the forecast
shifting winds with a love front
take it all to the chapel bell

Kiss me once with a big bang
make it twice when your tongue hangs
drip with sex lust heat wave
sweaty sheets know the feeling grows

Hang me low with the ripe fruit
pushing roses when I meet you
take the thorns for a hard fall
wind up lucky in a clover patch

Never drop when the sky cracks
yellow flash behind her brown eyes
skin flows like the river truth
drink a sip to watch the magic bloom

COSMIC CLIMAX

The universe ordained
our meeting
from the start

Two souls were conspired
to merge together
by the stars

Now there is no map
upon the earth
that can keep us apart

Your eternal home
is found here
resting in my heart
