Before I Fall Asleep

 

Just a prayer

I will say no before going to sleep,

Thank you and I will be silent in front of you.

 

On an eventful day,

memory and forgetfulness lay down.

Important and less important hours.

 

There was no fear in him

I stopped being afraid every day.

You took him away from me, giving you some silence.

 

Poems woven with love, pain,

you put purification in a vase.

Now in balance they soothe my soul.

 

I'll be back tomorrow, God willing

and over my morning coffee I will say -

thank you poetry.

 

 

My Longing

.

Will I find you again

old road along the river

where the linden trees smelled

like tea from a mother's hand.

.

Will I recognize these places

which are written in me,

down to a fine particle

every drop of life.

.

Memory folded into one,

woven like a wreath,

like on midsummer

the river of life still flows.

.

Behind this road, behind the linden tree,

a place of distant dreams,

where the bread with grain coffee

it tasted so wonderful.

Summer Evenings

 

Somewhere

 

The sun finishes its journey,

bathes in the lake,

the night picks up the blue of the sky

flashes stars.

 

The wind swayed the rushes

and goodbye

humming the evening song

at the frog cummings.

 

On the still water surface

the mist of the veil decomposes,

the fumes carry the smell from the fires,

the melody comes to an end.

 

Lovers whisper softly

the most beautiful words,

summer evening with its fragrance

it frees dreams
