Don't Look Back
Never look back
on your planet that is being destroyed
Soon it will dissolve, it will not exist
and we humans will be blamed for it
It is better not to see her
to die mortally wounded
from her own children
Dive deep without distraction
in the starry darkness
Travel, travel
as far as you can
in the eternal night
Fix your gaze
in the farthest reaches of space
and try to reach it
Look for new dreams in the chaos
Close the still open wounds
that the Earth caused you
Close your ears
don't listen to the screams
of your obsolete pursuits
who cool off in the burning
surface of your earthly cradle
Now somewhere else is waiting for you
another, heavenly Paradise
My Language Is Greek
The muses offered me a melodious language,
with notes that lead me to the sandy beaches of dreams
I dance in arms with them
in the green meadows of my desires,
up in the blue skies of world civilization
Fires are lit in my sothikas
verbs, nouns, adjectives
which the Sirens of the Greek language utter
spurred on by the gods' furious loves,
from the six psalms the sweet psalms
Frankincense, bay leaves and laurels I rely on my two hands
Mysterious love escapes my wounded tongue
I understand all the languages of the world
even those I don't know,
because they contain Greek words in their body
A universal creature is my tongue
who cares about the silences of all people
It is a torch of knowledge that lights the sleepers
of all the inhabitants of the Earth
for Peace, Justice, Freedom
Everything I craved on my tongue I found
Science, Philosophy, Imagination, Dialecticism
Even with the angels of God I speak the Greek language,
the womb of my mother Greece,
the cradle of the evergreen Spring and the glorious History
