You will think of me unwittingly

where thoughts slip

between nostalgia and desires.

Between one chapter and another of life,

while looking at a picture

with the colours of my palette.

On hot summer days,

when the brackish stroked

our bodies in the sun.

You will think of me unwittingly

prisoner of those plans

that embraced my sky.

You will be kidnapped by the charm

of baroque perfumes.

When barefoot

expectations wavered

between sighs and desires

on August nights.

You will think of me unwittingly

and a drop of tears

your heart will get wet.

In that deafening silence

you will let yourself be led,

arriving at a dream

which still belongs to us.

ANTONELLA TAMIANO: Painter and writer Antonella Tamiano was born in Lecce, where she graduated in Conservation of Cultural Heritage.
