ELIZA SEGIET

ELIZA SEGIET

Flashes

In a place

out of sight

wreathed flashes

of the past days, nights, years.

Failure has left

disobedient dreams.

Too late he understood

that time

- melts.

TRANSLATED BY ARTUR KOMOTER

Mgnienia

W miejscu

niedostępnym spojrzeniu

kłębiły się mgnienia

minionych dni, nocy, lat.

Niespełnieniem pozostały

niepokorne marzenia.

Zbyt późno zrozumiał,

że czas

- topnieje.

Chase

I'm racing with death,

it chases me, stops me,

stings every hour.

I'm racing with time.

Not just mine.

- Children. Children.

They have short steps.

Maybe

with human help

it will be possible to overcome

- the planned annihilation?

TRANSLATED BY ARTUR KOMOTER

Gonitwa

Ścigam się ze śmiercią,

goni mnie, zatrzymuje,

kłuje każdej godziny.

Ścigam się z czasem.

Nie tylko moim.

- Dzieci. Dzieci.

One mają krótkie kroki.

Może

z ludzką pomocą

uda się przegonić

- zaplanowane unicestwienie?

Only Sometimes

You said that people are good,

only sometimes they make mistakes.

I do not know what the word

sometimes

means.

Maybe

from September to…

When will they finish

these wrong death sentences?

Will we live to see?
TRANSLATED BY ARTUR KOMOTER

Tylko czasami

Mówiłaś, że ludzie są dobrzy,

tylko czasami popełniają błędy.

Nie wiem, co oznacza słowo

czasami.

Może

od września do…

Kiedy skończą

te błędne wyroki śmierci?

Czy dożyjemy?
