DARIYA BLAGOVESTOVA
GEORGIEVA,
or simply Dari, was born on November 12 and is currently 15 years old. She
lives in the village of Opanets, Pleven district, Bulgaria. At the end of 2020,
her talent was discovered by Mrs. Anelia Atanasova. Together with her, as well
as with the support of "Dr. Peter Beron" Elementary School, Pleven,
Dariya began to participate in literary competitions. This is the beginning of
her appearances. Since the fall of 2021, she has been studying at the
Professional High School for Tourism "Aleko Konstantinov" in the city
of Pleven and she is already achieving her creative successes independently.
However, this is not an obstacle to her development. On November 13th, the
results of the First Bulgarian Contemporary (Gendai) Haiku Contest were
published, in which, although she participated without high hopes, Dariya
received the Prize for Haiku Series. These results motivate her to develop her
abilities in different genres and poetic forms. Recently, she has been writing
tanka-verses and she is hard at work on her own novel. Dariya is the winner of
dozens of national and international literary awards. Among the most valuable
for her are First Place in the Poetry section of The National Literary Contest
"The Love in Us" - 2022 and Second Place in the Fifth International
Haiku Contest dedicated to the poet Santoka. She draws inspiration from nature,
human characters, life's difficulties. Among the most frequently touched themes
in her works are love (in all her forms), time that flows regardless of
everything and everyone, loneliness that is capable of imprisoning us in the
depths of our own consciousness...
