KHURSHEED AHMAD WANI

Days Gone By

I gave you my thought,

You took it as aught,

In smooth, It became a myth

I stand still like a monolith.

A painful memory of days gone by,

No more fabrication, no more sigh’

Oh, my mind’s eye,

You became a silent ripple. Why?

If I were an untamed pen

I couldn’t think of a better verse. Then

Let me dive into the ben,

I want to meet my grayhen.

What To Write On Irony?

I gently touched its limbs,

Soft, innocent and fresh

Oh! Dead in hands,

It bummed me out.

Ruins everywhere,

Scary scenes, terrified people

Fairies of palaces lost in the street dust,

Alas, some were buried under debris.

I got caught in the fray though

It went on for a long time.

What to write on irony?

Misery has engulfed us indeed.
