An Autumn Morning
Bare the trees
along the boulevard
bent by the wind breaths
their grey branches
where the last birds fly
still waiting to go
freely to distant lands
in search of the warm
a passer-by
white his hair
under the old cap
thoughtful looks at them
while going at a slow step
back to his shelter
all his past is there
and his uncertain future
his long-life memories
his cold solitude

Without Knowing Where
the sky changes its colours
the fields dress in white
and then green
while I go
in search of meanings
I look around
as if unknown voices
spoke to me
each from different directions
From paths winding
towards dark places
some say
defend the weak and the oppressed
but no
let it be
others shout
men never change
remember
it all began with Cain
I stop
and almost from close by
I hear whispering
only knowledge leads away
but I know
the wise are forgotten
and live wretched lives
Meanwhile
some music comes from afar
where men dance
sweating in their coloured shirts
and fair and dark-haired women
with flamboyant clothes
skirts with pinned red and yellow flowers
come with us
shout at me
Carpe Diem
what is life
if you don't let you go

What Is Love
To part
and break love bonds
nourished since long
you were tied to
by customary things
is to die too
Exchanges of thoughts
words, emotions
sharings that lightened
the burden of your life
some coffee together
a movie watched to talk about
the usual embrace
at the coming back
a routine that marked your time
All built brick-by-brick
and you find yourself now
thinking of what you did wrong
Loneliness grips you
even among people
the hours never going by
You miss his smell
his slow pace
and even the boredom hours
spent with him
you feel beautiful now
What is this love
that passes and goes
that dies
