Noah's Flood!
Yes, it is a
desperate attempt at calm, for awareness is a chronic disease with no cure, and
thus, how narrow life would be without...
It is ethics and
a sense of responsibility,
Like the wind
whispering in the ear of the sea, filling it with reassurance.
If we looked at
the faces of children, we would find more honesty than in the faint smiles,
For between
pretension and simplicity lies a journey of birth and death, a scream in the
former and a gasp in the latter!
When homelands
are stolen, we practice silence, like illusions we create in a moment of lies,
and the urge for control is divided among the thieves.
Thirsty details
rush towards the mirage;
Death is cheap
and hunger is a graveyard,
And Noah's flood
is coming.
So how can I
tell you, my dear, about the tyranny of drought and the mirage of dreams, which
have formed a complex, complete blend of pleasure...?
It is enough to
listen to your silence...
The frozen eyes
stare into the depths of your mind, while you die.
You can see...
Though you are
blind, you can see in your mind the stereotypical image of fools.
Close your eyes
again, leave yourself, and retreat into your sinful isolation.
Stay silent...
And try to
forget your name...
Do not be
opposed at the peak of the tragedy...
In a small
moment of frustrated desires, try to let your intuition be merely a means of
calm...
In the moment of
hunger and shattered dreams...
Maybe...
Indeed, you will
then say to me...
My dear:
They are all
alike in the sea of mediocrity...!

Mirror!
This is our
fate...
To raise the
sails of optimism in pursuit of happiness.
Do not waste
your emotions; there are those who need them and deserve them.
Narrow, trivial
interests cannot distort the beautiful tapestry of human relationships.
We all come and
we all go... what is connection if we have not connected?!
You are a mirror
in which the beloved gazes and feels their worth and existence...
Therefore, you
are responsible for their happiness or sorrow.
Gaze into the
face of your beloved, their heart, and also their eyes...
So that much
joy, much love, and the essence of blossoms may grow.

Because you are
in my heart and thoughts,
You will remain
the comfort and joy of my life.
We will laugh
together in the harbors of love,
And spend time
in ebb and flow.
We'll dance
happily, oblivious,
When waists come
close in an embrace.
With the taste
of love, we'll devour every sweet,
And your scent,
my love, is my fragrance.
Distance may try
to steal us, every day,
But our meeting
is timeless like the ages.
The weight of
longing means nothing
When a lover is
apart from their beloved without excuse.
I'll come to
embrace the eternity of love,
And whoever
stood against me is merely at my command.
I, love, and
longing are willingly
For the one who
gave visions to the pride of my poetry.
We will pass our
time in embraces and kisses,
And the throat
of love will pour the honey of my lips.

TAGHRID BOU MERHI
TAGHRID BOU MERHI is a Lebanese
residing in Brazil, a poet, writer, journalist, and translator. She teaches
Arabic language to non-native speakers, holds a degree in law and political
science, editor and head of the translation department at various literary
newspapers and magazines. Taghrid is responsible for translation in the
"Translators Without Borders" team, development trainer at the Sawa
Association for Development. Advising on literary translation for the Literary
Forum of the Levant and the World Union of Arab Intellectuals. Advisor for
literary translation affairs at the Forum of Levantine Writers( Al-Cham). She
is a global advisor for poetry on CCTV Chinese TV and aambassador for the
International Organization for Creativity for Peace in London. Taghrid is also
Lebanon's ambassador for the International Fellowship for Creativity and
Humanities in the UK and for the World Union of Writers and Artists in
Portugal. Ambassador for the World Organization for Creativity for Peace in
London. Lebanese ambassador in the International Fellowship for Humanitarian
Sciences and Creativity, England-London. She is Lebanon's ambassador to the
International Cultural Salon Association in Tunisia. Additionally, she serves
as the ambassador of Brazil to the American magazine P.L.O.T.S. Taghrid she is

25 books Arabic and internacional. The literary and poetic works of poet
Taghrid Bou Merhi have been translated into 48 languages. She has authored 18
books and three encyclopedias, a translator of 28 books to date,and she
participated in more than 60 Arabic books and more than 75 anthology
internacional. She has received numerous international awards, including the
Nizar Sartawi International Creativity Award in 2021, Naji Numan Award in
literature in 2023, and the SahityaPata Kazi Nazrul Islam Memorial Award in
2022. Taghrid has been honored for her journalistic excellence and has won
primer place prize such as the "Zheng Nian Cup" 2023. International
Peace Medal Award, Peace Award, certificate for Hyperpoem Book (a poetry book
publishing 2000 poets) , and an honorary prize from the Global Poetic
Brotherhood in Texas, USA, for translating global poetry into Arabic, French,
and Italian.Taghrid has been honored with the International Poet Zhen Xin Award
for 2022 and 2023, and was honored with the "World Leaders Award"
among 140 global personalities by WORLD GALA, and SAHITO INTERNACIONAL AWARD
FOR LITERATURE "WINNERS OF JURY AWARD FOR LITERATURE 2023". She
received the Journalistic Excellence Shield from the Nile and Euphrates Paper
Magazine in 2022 and 2023. Taghrid has also been recognized with honorary certificates
as a journalist from Mubadara Magazine, Mirror of International Life Agency,
and Innovators Magazine.International literature award 2024, Dr. Manuel Equihua
