DAVID CHUKWUDI NJOKU

DAVID CHUKWUDI NJOKU

SHE'S TRAUMATIZED...

She's writh in pain,
drenched in sweat of disdain,
emotions dilapitated
like a desolate house,
stigmatized and pushed aside
yet she lives with us,
wears faked loved smiles,
always standing naked
in her thoughts,
afraid of every touch,
dismisses love existence,
hates parents, sisters,
brothers and teachers,
because the trust has been violated.

She's of thorn skin,
willing to harm,
squeeze the breathe
of any that comes her way,
traumatized in every way possible,
always armed,
her experience is now life
of eternity,
memories of the violations
makes her violence
both in words and actions.

She's need help
not condemnation,
care, reasons to
bury the pain,
work on self she grows,
counsel in all godly manner,
reality check of agony lives on
if she fails to heed,
but must be done in all nobility.

Let's speak out for them
right now so many are in silence,
fear of death and humiliation
wears them as garment.

AMARA: YOU'RE STILL THE ONE

I give you my confidence
to keep
for morrow
when you speak.

Sweet it is to love,
your young heart
is so profound
in your beauty,
they open me more
to speak and write
untold virtues
of your loving kindness,
your smile is ever
contagious and refreshing,
so pure are the words of trust.

A jewel of no measure,
a beacon of beauty
you're to me AMARA.
I will still choose you,
not minding your tribe
nor your race,
you're the best amongst
your equals.

So I choose to stand tall,
face the storm together
and build the home
for the heavenlies....

You remain my jewel.

MY DEAR MOTHER

My dear mother,
because of you I'll live longer,
your counsels are ever rich
to awaken any dying soul.

My dear mother,
every man builds a house
but you make a home
for all to inhabit.

My dear mother,
no one has the well of wisdom like yours
that flows like waterfall of truth,
you embody all words of wisdom.

My dear mother,
my friend and my guide,
the strength for my father's friendship,
nation's mirror for growth.

My dear mother,
the health carrier of her home,
the one with undying love
for her children's tomorrow,
My dear mother, I love you.
