RAJASHREE MOHAPATRA

Where Sorrow Reigns ...

Where sorrow reigns

Destinations appear uncertain

Leading to long prevailing darkness

Yet a way is lit up to bloom the goal.

Sun sets to rise again and again

To wipe out the darkness around

A solitude traveller would walk

undisturbed on a path of

freshly bloomed flowers of peace,

tranquility and happiness

And the thorns of bitterness are kept aside.

When a heart meets another

Under a well spread sky, free of melancholy

Clouds of sorrow seems to disappear

Nightingale's plaintive cry bob's up as if over

Someone whispers at an elbow distance :

"Your goal of life is not farther".

Left Passions...

Passions left

by the memory trail in silence,

Down the lazy moon .

A river runs through

the weathered rocks

Carrying the debris of own wound .

In This Silent Dale

A lonely road rarely longs for morning light '

Prefers to stay asleep,

Fervently lost in the arms of hazy stars

And the dark atmosphere

That leads the ripples in  the sea

To a sparkless state.

Silence of the temple bells

And a melancholy over the mosque lane

Along with a deserted  church gate

Further desolate and declared calmness

In every nook and corner of the hearts.

The old heart asks ;

Who may it be

That follows me in this silent dale ?

Is it me or any one else?

Why do I just wait always for a  deal ahead ?

Is it because

that life revolve around a meal ?

Fake Innocence

Fake Innocence is a pretense of simplicity

And pride gets shrewdly envious of such a tendency.

Coagulated radiant dews dropping from the eyes

Appear like crocodile tears,

Dreams burn in anguish

And claim to be squeezer of innocent culture.

Every heart is endangered and entrapped

By the suicidal weapons so invented

We prefer to stay apparent and

Refuse to inhale the fragrant breeze

Of sublimity of the age old history

of the sublime innocence.
