KAREEM ABDULLAH

Your Voice

Your voice is a wildflower whose scent never fades,

its perfume is gypsy music that dances to the tunes of dreams,

the silent birds compete to eavesdrop,

perhaps to steal a fragment of your timid glow,

that will give them back their voice.

Your voice is a wildflower revealed by silence,

the butterflies rush to surround it like handmaidens,

and shamelessly steal some of its colors.

Your voice is a cosmic note played by the wind when it blows,

touching a bit of your aroma.

Whispers Of Untitled Colors

Your voice is a wildflower whose scent never fades, gypsy music that blends with the melodies of dreams, the silent birds of silence rush to steal your hearing, nibbling the crumbs of your shyness, and from its ashes its voice is born. Your voice is a flower without obstacles, exposed to silence.  Butterflies scurry like bridesmaids, stealing its colors with a brazen silence. Your voice is a cosmic note, played by the wind, wandering across the eyelids of time, brushing against your fragrance. Your voice is like fragments of a soft dawn, falling on purple edges, intertwining among the breaths of the clouds, devoured by a silent shadow, melting into the scent of oblivion, a silence that splits the branches, escapes the usual and weeps in new colors. Your voice soars through the fog, emerging from the rustling of wet leaves, silently coloring the spaces of the evening, a darkness that speaks the language of colors, broken perfume bottles falling into emerald pools, celebrating space, dissolving shapelessly, namelessly.  Your voice is a shattered crystal of light, gathering drops of fire, dancing disembodied, spreading across the treasure chests of stories, trembling amid the echoes of a weary heart, writhing on the walls of time, washing away alienation, lighting up the dawn.
