We've known each other for so long now

Friends for so many years

We've come so far and done so much

Been together through thick and thin

A bond was formed the day we met

A friendship of love and understanding

Other friends have come and gone

But we've still stuck together

So many adventures

So much fun we've had

Our deepest secrets we have shared

This friendship is forever

You're my best friend

A shoulder I can lean on

When I feel there's no light ahead

I would do the same for you

That's what friends are for

My door is always open

No matter what the hour

Just one more thing I have to say

It's important that you know

Dear sister, held within my heart

I am glad that you chose me.

Someone to sooth your anger

When you want to scream and shout

Somebody who'll tell you it's okay

That's what friendship is all about

Someone who'll keep you going

When a mountain greets your sight

Who'll help you work around it

And see that your aright

Somebody who will pick you up

When your feeling down

Who will give you plenty of courage

When yours is on the ground

Someone who will talk to you

When your feeling sad and blue

A friend who can make you laugh

And feel as good as new.
