The Measure Of Friendship

 

Friendship is a mirror reflecting our lives,

Capturing the present while honoring what survives.

It values not wealth, nor fleeting acclaim,

But bears our souls through hardship and strain.

In moments of quietude, unwavering and true,

It fortifies our hearts and guides all we do.

A bond forged not by chance or mere fate,

But through conscious choice and steadfast state.

It thrives not in the spotlight’s transient glare,

Nor falters beneath blame or despair.

Through challenges time and circumstance bring,

Its essence deepens, and hearts take wing.

When darkness stretches wide and far,

Its presence shines like a steadfast star.

No shadow can tarnish, no storm can shake

The enduring strength of the friends we make.

Enduring Light

 

In life’s ever-shifting, shadowed terrain,

A true friend stands as our beacon through pain.

Though many voices fade and drift away,

A steadfast friend sustains both night and day.

With thoughtful insight and enduring care,

They ease burdens too heavy to bear.

Though years may pass and the world may sway,

The glow of friendship lights our way.

Through fleeting joys or whispered doubts,

Their presence reassures and calms our bouts.

No distance severs bonds built on trust,

For hearts that truly care endure, as they must.

When paths grow dim and the way seems unclear,

Their wisdom steadies, instilling courage and cheer.

Through all life’s twists, its turns, and strife,

A faithful friend remains a guiding light in life.

FROSINA TASEVSKA was born in Shtip, the Republic of Macedonia. She is a bilingual poet and writer who creates in both English and Macedonian. Passionate about words since an early age, she has authored two solo poetry collections and continues to work on new manuscripts. Her writings have been published in numerous national and international magazines, newspapers, and anthologies, where her voice is recognized for its depth and emotional resonance. She is an active member of various literary platforms and has received several awards for her creative work, honoring her contribution to contemporary poetry.
