The movies, outings

And birthdays

Can't forget the

Long silent ways

 

We were so close

To heart

Shared joys and sorrows

Before we depart

 

Now we are too old

To live

Going to be merged

In elements five

 

Come quickly

Bridge the gap

between the two countries

 

Friendship multiplies

the good of life

and divides the evil.

 

O Dear!

I am restless

Come and meet me

We are not only friends

But bosom buddies

A Gift To Friendship

 

That attraction

that dedication is gone now.

 

In the relationship

between husband and wife

the mind controls the body now

 

I urge to make me your friend

Release the raging anger

You complain me about

my masculinity and virility

Let the wounds of a broken heart flow away

 

Please be my companion

again, and again

You come again and again

to be soaked

in the rain of golden memories

 

Forget for a moment that

I am the husband, you are the wife

Forget this whole world and everything

 

Be my 'Abhisarika' again

Let's pick moonflowers

from the hills of dreams

With the sway of the moon

 

With the fragrance of tea

And like the steam of hot tea

Let's float in the sky

 

Let's mix in the light and soft clouds up in the sky

Let's be rain and drench each other's minds

With droplets of thought, and showers of love

Together we'll bloom, like flowers

And flutter like dove

 

Let our inner self shine

In front of the golden flowers woven into your hair

Let our stale dreams drift away like a garland of remnant

of sacred Jasmine

 

Adam and Eve may have been friends initially

With each other's companionship

Their hearts will have blossomed

 aesthetically

 

Today, let's change the context of life directly

Let's meet not as husband-wife but as a soulmate; freely

 

There is a beautiful island

beyond physical attraction

Let us give each other

a beautiful gift of friendship

To the bond of our relationship

Which has been separated

by fleeting moments of ominous clouds.

NEHA BHANDARKAR: She embellished with numerous national and international awards for her consummate literary skill. Her literature has been included in syllabus of Marathwada and Amaravati Universities for M.A. and B. Com. Ist year and B.Com. IIIrd year. She is a recepient of Hindi State Sahithya Academy Award twice, from Government of India. She is working in Life Insurance Corporation of India and as the best employee, 'Adarsh Vishwakarma Award' has been bestowed upon her by the state Governor of India. Her poems have been broadcast on Quichotte Radio, FRANCE and Hindi Radio, CHICAGO (USA). She is an International PEACE Ambassador of Global Nation, Bangladesh and Cultural, Peace and Humanity Ambassador appointed by (IFCH) International Forum of Creativity and Humanity, Morocco country. She is editor of international multilingual multidisciplinary Readers’ Choice e magazine for Hindi and Marathi section.
