Friendship

Years have passed,
but our affection has always remained alive,
like a flower that never fades.
My dear friend, what binds us is much more than an acquaintance.
We celebrate mutual respect and the deepest affection.
We walk together along the path of life, supporting one another.
We invoke profound recognition, reciprocity, and sincerity.
A friend who is zealous in his affection can never betray.
He invests only good feelings in time and space.
A shrewd and close-knit friend rarely turns away. 

Anyone who does so has never been a truly trusted friend.

AMICIZIA

Sono passati anni,
ma il nostro affetto è sempre rimasto vivo,
come un fiore che non appassisce mai.
Caro amico, ciò che ci lega è molto più di una semplice conoscenza.
Celebriamo il rispetto reciproco e l'affetto più profondo.
Camminiamo insieme lungo il cammino della vita, sostenendoci a vicenda.
Invochiamo profondo riconoscimento, reciprocità e sincerità.
Un amico zelante nel suo affetto non può mai tradire.
Investe solo buoni sentimenti nel tempo e nello spazio.
Un amico accorto e affiatato raramente si allontana. 

Chi lo fa non è mai stato un amico veramente fidato.

Friendship Is Love

Friendship is the purest form of love.
It springs spontaneously from the heart.
True friends never separate and never humiliate their relationship.
Not even forced distance will undermine their fraternal feelings.
A true friend learns to give love and rejoice in the good things of others.
You must trust a friend blindly,
like a foster brother.
Solidarity will also help us discover its precious value.
All this because it is sacred and must be cultivated like a rare flowering plant.
We now live in a world where all this has become a chimera.C
Friendship is fading forever, and the world is at the mercy of hatred.
Only in true friendship can kindness flourish again.
Love, like brotherhood, takes root where there is purity and spontaneity.

L’Amicizia E’ Amore

L'amicizia è la forma più pura dell'Amore.
Sgorga spontanea dal cuore.
I veri amici non si separano e mai umiliano il loro rapporto.
Neanche la forzata lontananza incrinera’ il loro fraterno sentimento.
Un vero amico impara a donare amore,
gioire per le altrui cose positive
Bisogna fidarsi ciecamente di un amico, come un fratello putativo.
Anche la solidarietà ci farà scoprire quanto sia prezioso il suo valore.
Tutto ciò perché è sacra e va coltivata come una rara pianta da fiore.
Viviamo, ormai,in un mondo dove tutto questo e’ diventato chimera.
Sta svanendo, l’amicizia, per sempre e il mondo e’ in balia dell’odio.
Solo nell’amicizia vera, potra’ rifiorire anche la gentilezza.
L’amore, così come fratellanza, attecchisce dove c'è purezza e spontaneità.

CONCETTA LA PLACA: Concetta La Placa is an Italian poet, writer and aphorist. Born in Sicily, she has lived in Rome since 2006. She is married, mother of two children and grandmother of three grandchildren. She has worked as a ministerial official in the Social Policies sector (Childhood and Adolescence and the Fight against Poverty) of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. As of 1 April 2024, she took early retirement. She started writing and composing poetry at the age of 15. Today, she is present on the international poetry scene because she has published her poems and various short stories (some of which are also dedicated to children) in numerous prestigious anthologies of various national and international contemporary authors.
