Friendship’s Voyage

True friendship is like a boat,

That on stormiest seas, stays afloat

Through tempests wild, and blackened skies,

will never wreck or capsize

When tsunamis rise with roaring might,

And lightning splits the shroud of night,

This vessel, built to withstand the elements

Holds its course and remains in place.

Not every ship can stand the waves

Some sink to their watery graves

Those built of unseasoned wood

decay, like friendship, built on falsehood

Friends who last, through squalls and strain,

Are anchors in the fiercest rain.

They ride the surge, they mend the mast

Together, stay steadfast to the last.

So, cherish well the friends you choose

It’s the real ones who will complete

the journey with you

Through vagaries of life’s cruise.

Veils Of Friendship

Friendship wears a thousand masks,

In modern times, in every task

A smile may hide a sharpened blade

A warm embrace, a cold charade.

Race and creed become the line

Where love is lost and hate aligns

Commercial deals coated in gold

fail to entice; so full of holes

Old allies trade with veiled disdain,

As profit pulses through the vein.

A handshake under the cameras' glare

May hide a plan to strip a nation bare

Yet still, beneath the crafted show,

The seed of kinship tries to grow.

If truth could walk with clearer eyes,

And hearts not fall for painted lies

Perhaps one day, through ash and fire,

We’ll rise above this dark attire.

And friendship, freed from fear and gain,

Will bind us whole, not break in vain.
