The Heckler
(Is not there a
strong bond of friendship between Nature and Man? Doesn't Nature contrive to
make Man happy, and, doesn't Man nurture Nature like a friend...)
Unseen
You heckle.
Heckle
Leaves to dance
Dance
A dance of
abandon
That
Spring
The queen
Of
Seasons
Brings.
Heckle me too
Tease
My hair,
Gently
Touch my cheeks
And
Make me feel
The
Touch of love
Naughty breeze
Come
Heckle me
Come,
For
A moment
My lover
Be !
Stranger, My Stranger
(Love too a
friendship is)
A
Stranger
To
This
World,
Only,
My fantasies
And
I
Know
You
For
I
Have hidden
You
Deep,
Deep
Inside my heart.
As
Water in water
Exists
You
In
Me
Live.
Only
My
Fantasies
And
I
Know you
Stranger,
My stranger, my
stranger...
NITA B GEORGE
NITA B GEORGE is a published poet and
a short story writer. A Post Graduate in English Literature from the Osmania
University, Hyderabad, Telangana, India, she has to her credit a long span of
37 years teaching and mentoring Degree level students, both boys and girls. Her
insight into the beings of her students has given her practical skill of
counseling the ever-effervescent young minds. Some important themes she
normally touches upon in her writings are, 'Women and their restricted world',
'Patriarchal tendency of the male', 'Emotional instability in the youth',
'Love', 'Belief in the Divine', 'Atheism', 'Rationality' etc. To her today,
Poetry is a dying Force... The reason, the poets themselves. Poetry doesn't
seem to be coming from the heart...similes, metaphors, imagery seem to be just
appendages rather than organic whole in the poems of these poets. Experimenting
on structure, economizing on words, leaving the end unsaid, focusing on
readability and style are her strengths.
