THE POWER AND GLORY

Paint and
words allow
people to
express what
can't be
expressed,
formlessly.
Painting
and poetry
rock our
world.
Music too.
The vision
is blunted
by the
media,
however,
and must
be pushed
through
by practice,
desire,
sweet inspiration
and a
whole lotta
soul.
That's why successful
artist are whom
they are:
Golden,
shining
at
a pinnacle
few can scale.

THE FUNDAMENTAL CURVE OF LOVE

Waxes poetic,
lifts all souls
far beyond
homeostasis;
moves mountains,
sweeps seas;
engenders
favorable winds
of delight
and purpose
lapping upon
all shores;
erects plenitude
in the face
of desire,
dazzling
burgeoning
satisfaction;
pity its
decline is
much more
precipitous,
and deadly,
than its rise.

“DON'T GRIEVE DEATH INTERESTS ME”

Time
knows
no start
no end
so why
should we?
Drift into
death without
sorrow
glad
it is
over
to start
again.

ADVICE FOR AN ELECTRON

The realm of
the potentially
living
falling
into life,
consciousness,
and an
awareness
of death
are on
notice:
life is Hell
on the way
back to
Heaven,
if no
immediate task
or belief
informs
your wavering
you'll
sink all the
while attempting
to swim.
