the rush of the soul

is as burning as solar flares

the river that runs over the northern lights

and turns into a fireball

my heart beats at your winds

Zeus with his arms seized: the man of big promises

of love, the art of dragon control

the arithmetic of passion, the touches of the river

the glaciers still haven’t melted

the eyes of wind became uncovered

güneş patlaması kadar yakıcı

kutup ışıklarını çiğneyerek

ateş topuna dönüşen nehir

kıvrımlarında atıyor kalbim

kolları kesik Zeus: büyük sözlerin adamı

aşkın, ejderha kontrol sanatı

tutkunun aritmetiği, nehrin dokunuşları

buzullar erimedi daha

rüzgârın gözlerindeki perde kalktı

the reversed river that rises in the pyramid of love

your scream will eventually cease

the breath of earth is on my skin

the place where the spear pierces

my voice burgeons in the climate of dreams

by the shores of loyalty

even the foam of your sentences is attractive

life is a kind of quarrel

the picture of uprising

and poetry the art of word pursing

filtering the damp imagery

and breaking the line here

DR. EMEL KOŞAR was born in Eskişehir. In 2003, she graduated from Turkish Language and Literature Department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. She is currently a faculty member at Turkish Language and Literature Department of Faculty of the Arts and Sciences of Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. She has published her poetry and essays on Turkish literature in various literary magazines. She published her research and review books, scientific and literary works she edited, and 5 poetry collections.
