PUSHMAOTEE FOWDUR SUBRUN

PUSHMAOTEE FOWDUR SUBRUN

The Supra Intellectual Truths

The Divine WILL remains a mystery,

Yet the continuance of the cosmos a reality.

And the human spirit for ever hankers,

For the indeterminate infinite wonders,

The supra intellectual truths,

The supra cosmic, absolute Being in sooth.

The yearning is deep for the pinnacle of the identity,

With the absolute Entity,

The fascinating escape, the ascension to the crest,

To a higher than mental consciousness,

To attain peace, universal peace, in the closeness,

To no other than the quintessence,

The supra cosmic source of higher existence.

For our divine connectivity with the all-pervading,

The all merciful, the comfort, the all-seeing,

The all-knowing wisdom,

Reaching the deepest fathom,

Offer humble obeisances, with knees bent,

To the supra cosmic Lord who is omnipresent,

Omnipotent, and omniscient.

On Reading Kabir’s Lyrics

Kabir’s lyrics set my heart in raptures.

I saw myself drawn to his verses,

On the Supreme, there, in the Elysian fields

Where peace and beauty dwells,

With divine music and parks shady,

It’s believed to be reserved for mortals eternally,

Those who are close to God for being righteous,

There where the Lord is revealed in forms plenteous,

The scent of sandal and flowers dwell permanently,

In those fields heavenly.

There you can see the Lord’s manifestation,

In myriads of His creation,

In the form of Brahma, the Lord of creation,

Vishnu, Lord of preservation.

Shiva, the Lord of annihilation.

Ram, Rahim, Sita, Parvati,

Christ and Mother Mary.

The Azure Blue Sky

The sparsely cloud dotted blue sky

Greeting me with its jollity,

Cajoling me to celebrate this day,

To shirk my heavy melancholy,

When Mother Nature’s brilliance,

Is displaying its tantalising radiance.

The palm leaves are swaying gently,

The birds are twittering merrily,

The twigs of the trees are joining rhythmically.

People are out and about chatting,

Walking, leisurely wandering,

Others their respective chores accomplishing.

Light heartedly, the children are playing,

Cheering, gleefully rejoicing.

Imbibing this atmosphere enlivening,

My spirit automatically responding to this vivacity,

My heart steadily dispels the heavy morosity,

To mingle with the pervading gaiety
