DASHARATH NAIK

Somewhere Someone Exists

Somewhere someone exists

And the hard times are forgotten

Wants faced in daily life evaporate

Like a bride with prospects so many

Spring pours and shines

Life smiles whistling sprightly

with the kisses of wind

Mesmerizing with the magical notes of the cuckoo

Unfolding the petals of the budding blossoms

Spreading radiant shades of hues

with the singing streams.

Somewhere someone exists

And the dormant dull life flaps its wings

Boredom perishes replacing excitement

Frustration fades fast and longing for life germinates

The dreary waste land starts yielding overnight

As life's fear and apprehension decay

Thoughts, hopes and dreams become unexpectedly friendly

Life in elegant love then does look

So enchanting and gracefully green!!

The One Within

I always move like air

I am with me within

Here there everywhere

I am nowhere but within me

All dauntless in my world

A butterfly with hues of rainbow

At times a least entity

Trapped in the cobwebs

Sensing a certain unease

The unfathomable depth within me

The Princess, the old Evil Spirit

And with the twelve-foot-long sword

The prince on the white stallion

The universe, azure sky, stars, planets

And the galaxy, all within me

And me in ceaseless quest for the endless possibilities

I am the one within me

Moving around my center on my axis.

My Innocence

Know not why everything around

does look so absurd and hazy

Know not why my world falters

like a pendulum and is so muzzy

Know not why things don't remain

the same when not densely fuzzy

Know not why my sincere words

never ever make them a bit crazy

Know not why my life quite blurry

whereas some others' so cozy

Know not why like a chameleon

they change but never go mazy

Know not why I often fail to smile

and unexpectedly I feel so dizzy

Know not why darkness wraps me

and lights cannot keep me busy

Know not why troubles trouble

and me always undeniably oozy

Know not why plights hug me hard

and my innocence sees things rosy.
