Love, How I Love You!
When my eyes meet yours,
I feel my soul run wild, bursting with love
fragments of heaven sailing on clouds to distant seas and oceans.
Oh! That magical moment—two beacons collide,
time suspended, like magnets swirling in the dizzy orbits of planets.
It’s a pull, an attraction.
Our gazes make no demand so , no sorrow in them.
They trust / are faithful,
waiting for that silent blink, to steal a kiss,
the moon caught between the pauses.
It’s a connection, a vibration a crash of waves
that shakes your core, through the glimmer of your eyes,
like the shimmering veils of a bride.
They flicker with the nervous flutter of your gaze,
a stormy sea, in constant effervescence,
like a volcano on the edge of eruption.
It’s complicity / a seductive instant.
In the simple act of looking into your eyes,
they revealed everything without a glance,
without a touch / without a kiss,
without our bodies becoming one.
You brought flight to my life,
into the orbit of your distant path,
a circuit of circles veiled in mystery.
With just these words:
Love, how I love you!
When my eyes meet yours…
A Bulb Without Flowers
Who broke its petals,
so, it could no longer drink
the dew from the glass
agonizing without rain,
without love/ unable to grow,
free like a bee in honey.
What have they done to my child?
His roots could not take hold
in the soil of his birth.
They didn’t let him grow,
snapping his stems,
by hands without a soul.
He couldn’t walk, he couldn’t see.
I weep for all these stems,
buds without flowers.
Cruel bombs and missiles
smothered them in smoke,
they fell, charred, without life.
I hear their cries / their broken sobs
from inside their buds,
stripped of petals,
torn apart one by one,
without a mother’s embrace.
How could anyone be so cruel?
All that’s left are lifeless bulbs,
brittle, voiceless,
drowned in their own tears.
Oh, God,
so much suffering
their hearts torn apart,
bloodless,
without a beat or dreams,
their games cut short,
only bombs / only war,
new buds snuffed out.
They were never allowed
to spread their fragrance through the fields.
Why such hatred,
such power,
such dehumanization?
Dance At The Carnival
The scent of salt / rusted iron,
a soft breeze / a melodic whisper,
wraps me in a tulle shawl.
I surrender to its embrace,
climbing each path quietly
as it leads me
to its calm / its gentle sway.
Impossible not to be seduced
the rhythm of its dance
fills the Air / a celebration.
All are dancing / all are shining
beneath the sunset’s glow,
soft strokes of color,
lilacs / blues / streaked
like a flickering flash of light,
briefly igniting,
weaving its masquerade,
a dance of fleeting sparks.
Suddenly, everything blurs,
yet they continue their ballet,
on tiptoe,
a scene from Swan Lake.
No more lines are visible,
no horizon
everything merges,
into one magnificent whole
no edges / no boundaries,
no islands / or islets,
just sky / ocean,
in perfect symmetry / harmony.
I am swept away by its grandeur.
