Metamorphosis
Quiet folding
in the sunlit
haze,
tomb of self,
a chrysalis so
tight,
patient waiting
through
the endless
night.
Then crack and
strain,
a pushing from
within,
the past falls
off.
Final lesson
from a world
outgrown.
Dancer in the
air,
whispered
promise,
beautiful
and rare.
Ode
None
is the sum
of every lack,
the turning
point,
pause between
a life
and death.
The sum
of every
lack.
