Not with empty
words and fake promises,
But through good
deeds,
Even a simple
gesture counts
To lighten up
someone’s day.
Mutual gratitude
is the sister of respect,
That goes hand
in hand to remind us
To thank for the
help and gifts we receive
From the rare
people that truly care about us.
Dear Fall
You’re as
generous as a saint,
Despite man’s
prejudice against you.
You invite us to
a show of colors,
People marvel at
your masterpiece.
Each year you
remind us to be grateful
To those that
help and support us.
You mourn the
dead with us,
But advise us to
honor their deeds
And carry on
their legacy.
I was brought
into this world,
Years ago during
your reign
And I thank you
for the gifts
That you
bestowed upon me.
GEORGIANA-LAURA GHEORGHE
GEORGIANA-LAURA GHEORGHE - Brăila –
România. Born in a country with a wonderful history, customs, traditions and
culture, she’s a sensitive soul whom considers writing as a way to express her
untold feelings and opinions. She’s a translator, but creative writing is one
of the many hobbies she has. She has a Master’s Degree in Translation and
Interpretation at “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galaţi (Romania) and a
Bachelor’s Degree in the English Language and Literature – French Language and
Literature – Philology at “Spiru Haret” University of Bucharest, Faculty of
Letters – Bucharest (Romania). She competed in a few national literary projects
such as the online poetic show „Poetry Camp in Nichita’s Living Room” organized
by Revista Monitorul de Poezie and Ion Calotă between March 26th to March 31st,
2026 and international literary championships such as the fourteenth edition of
the “Grigore Vieru – “I’m grass. I can’t be simpler than that!”” International
Poetry Contest 2026 etc. She won “Ștefan Doroftei Doimăneanu Medal” at the
first edition of the “Doimănenian Symphonies” International Literature and Art
Festival organized by the Apollon-Romania Cultural Society, City Hall of the
Limanu Commune of Constanța between May 8th and May 10th, 2026 etc. She
published poetry in various national and international literary magazines and
anthologies, and launched three bilingual poetry books: “Philosophical Poems”
on December 23rd, 2022, “The Chest of Life” on 2021 which is the second edition
of “What is life?” that was published on September 2019. She’s a member of the
“Casa Speranței” Literary Circle that is under the aegis of the C.A.R.P. “Ana
Aslan” Association of Brăila from March 25th, 2026, “Alter Ego” Literary Circle
of Brăila from February 13th, 2026, the Romanian Writers’ Society from January
28th, 2025 and of ARTLIT - Asociația Română a Traducătorilor Literari from
February 15th, 2022 and of the World Literature Academy that is under the aegis
of the Romanian Cultural Centre in London from October 20th, 2020. Other than
creative writing, she likes to listen to music mostly classical, instrumental
and soundtracks, travel and navigate on the Internet.
