Sunset Of A Love In Flight
Love departed
and set off on a distant road.
It took flight
and I watched it vanish into infinity.
It spread its
wings wide with the flock of autumn.
There in the sky
it faded from sight.
In its footsteps
bitter weeds began to grow;
the scent of
burned grasses drifted in the air,
the dew fell
away, darkened by smoky shadows,
condemning me to
cold as I crawled in solitude.
Behind it, the
precious and beautiful memory was torn apart.
My heart ached
with a pouring rain of sorrow.
Wounded – its
pulse slowed, as if it were fading,
tired, it fell
asleep, yet in its dream it longed
for her – that
poppy-red, fiery love within my thoughts.
In my soul a
bell tolled – last goodbye
slammed the door
behind it and locked the sadness away.
And somewhere I
heard a bird’s song – torn by the wind,
turned into
ragged white winter grief.
From the depths
of the earth I caught the breath of demons;
withered and
dried like the root of a tree,
cut down in a
single stroke of weakness and raging force.
Only flashes of
a heavy sin remained –
a tangled gaze
upon the fence of parting and silence.
Yet hope is born
in the coolness of spring’s bloom.
Love will come
to me – like a white swallow in flight.
I believe it
will build its nest where I hurt the most,
after the ruin,
longing for joy and fresh air.
And the snowfall
that has long remained in my soul
will turn into
summer kites and a white wedding bed.

My Soul Weeps In The Tunnel
My soul - a
crawling rainworm -
twists its body
and burrows
into deep black
holes beneath the earth.
Drunk on its
bitter sap,
it falls asleep
in the cold bed
of torn and
withered cores - silent.
And the blood
melts from my body - like snow
at the bottom of
a swamp-like phantom dream -
where the day is
a fading quiet flame,
and winter
furies rage with their wild hair.
And darkness
descends from above - scattered,
as if tar-black
wine were pouring down,
with rain that
smells of mournful incense.
Thunder shatters
and shakes the sky.
Suffering
sprouts in endless waters.
My soul rots in
the soil - flooded -
rooted deep
within a long tunnel.
Hope is mute.
Salvation - a curse.
My body is worn
away, helplessly shedding.
It aches -
condemned and nailed in delirium.
And the earth
trembles in powerful fear,
my tears -
seized by autumn -
sink into a
murmuring rain-touch
within the eyes
of a quiet, beautiful love -
whose gaze is
heavy with tender memories,
kissing the
dreamed image of a beloved woman.
And after it the
sun caresses the earth,
the sea gently
soothes and whispers to the shore,
the sunrise
bursts open, staring into the morning,
the night of
parting sadly embraces the day,
clouds weep and
kiss the grass with dew…
My soul weeps,
yet still kisses your soul.
