FRANCISC EDMUND BALOGH

About A Bricked-Up Window

Your smile's dawn light

glided across

the deep night of my heart's old,

end of the world chamber,

like a white

dove through

an open window,

sore high to the blue of

the elm trees of our

alley,

roam over

blooming fields of verses.

The full stop

– a first brick of the bricked-up window,

silence raised the rest of the wall.

Heartbeats’ orbit engraved in the wall,

tresspassing signals.

We Met

We met

in a subsequent life

in which you were recounting to me

breathlessly

about how is our present life

that you've expected so much

already from a previous life.

Me, as always

I was looking at you

without questions, affirmations

while you couldn’t tell me

in which one of the life’s

we loved each other

the most.

Home On The Moon

I will buy for us, my love

a piece of land on the moon,

on the dark side of it,

where often is raining

and there is not too much to do,

no bills to pay,

nothing to catch up with,

nothing to plan and execute sharply,

no resilience stretching,

no need of big achievements

to give time and existence meaning,

no small gains’ hunt

under the illusion of happiness.

Like never before

we are going to listen

to the rain drops on the rooftop,

to the rain birds’ voice

and the cats lazy walk.

Yes, my love

the sunshine will get through

the curtain of rain and shades

of life.

We will roam

on the bare mountain

in search of the last crystal clear

stream of truth

to cool our thirst.

We are going to dangle

our feet to the edge of the world

just listening to the echo of

of the void.

We will sit and worship

from that day on the flowers

as the perfect creations

of the Universe...

those white roses

at your window.
