Life Is A Stage

 

Life is a stage, and everyone has a role to play.

The characters are endless. Different stories

revolve around our lives and we play them

straight from the heart, making memories.

 

It is almost like a movie,

and we are costuming each day as we go.

We are acting as we should, not as we might,

like a bird, a single bird that flies.

 

We don’t know what the plot is

but we are trying to figure out the story.

We all have a role, in this play of life;

we cry, we smile, we love; we learn from the strife.

 

Oh, Bird My Friend

 

Oh, Bird,

my soulmate, my best friend:

 

please tell them the story about

how Rays of sunshine dance through your trees;

 

tell them about the blissful smiles

incessantly stolen in stride;

 

about every howl of the Wind

after the last red veins of the Sun;

about the fragrant Palm of the bougainvillea.

 

Oh, Bird,

my amulet of harmony and happiness,

Tell them one story at a time.

 

Who Knows

 

Who knows what tomorrow brings?

Who knows what the future holds?

A thousand chances, all wondrous things

mysteriously hidden, until the day unfolds.

 

Life can make us soar, it can make us cry

Sometimes troubles and problems come our way

But after all, all we have to do is try

and make the most of our day!

 

We should enjoy life, and let the light guide us through

Do everything that makes the hearts sing

Even if we fall, we should believe and start anew

because who knows what tomorrow will bring!

 

Time is passing and ticking away

and there are many chapters yet to follow.

Smile, love, and make the most of today

Don’t drown yourself in a feeling of sorrow.

 

In the end, who knows what tomorrow brings

so love, laugh, and do all silly, happy things!
