ADNAN AL-RIKAN

Queen Of The Night And Destiny

How did you slip into my soul

So quietly, and change my features?

And caution in my heart never sleeps...!

Every time I shake the hand of the wave,

I whisper to you half the feeling of the sea foam

So I lie with its confused colors...

Before the shroud of a departed life is sewn

Or settles with the weight of an outcast,

Upon the blackness of the wrinkles of the intoxicated night

Ruin no longer has a place other than to reveal

As if longing were embroidered with a song,

On breezes of wind...

And it tells the sail The extent of the vision's fragmentation between the ribs of the fog, and it whispers in the ear of dawn, that the eyes of patience are the ships' compass, scattering every hidden call, and cutting through time in the throng of the impossible. Queen of the night and destiny, I steal from the glow of your longing what guarantees my existence, and a spark and gasps from the moon's features, when your evocative perfume leaves. With purity, hymns to life...

I will drink from the wine of your radiant breasts

That never leave me, even after sunset

The Window Of Destiny

Before the threshold of the window of destiny...!

 The wind pants...

And the tongue of light licks

The heel of a renegade letter

Severed hand,

The soul's whisper frowns

The thread sings above the saddle of

Burdens that have festered in the depths of

A blind wound...

Death makes peace with its sleeves

Alone borrows the colors of the sea

For the gambling halls to turn yellow...

Because for a long time it hasn't read newspapers

Overwhelmed by dust With the weight of the clouds

Whenever the hands of the birth scorpion stir

Her charms are unveiled so that the stage

of fertilization may sing with bare blossoms

Like a surah revealed without ablution

Teasing the saliva of the atheists...

Do not believe in miracles,

But their marriage to the Book

Does not close the door of the great fatwa

And the sparkle of your eyes upon seeing me

Is a truer interpretation...

Than their news, even after a while

So the journey With wandering songs

And the table of sorrow...

They lash fear

Beneath my dark coat

And the empty pockets of my heart

Are filled only by the melodies of your voice

Whose beats never betray,

And dance to its rhythm...
