One Million Tears
One million
tears will not be enough, if I don’t stop
myself from
being dragged in the mud.
To see little
boys and girls chosen as toys,
taking away
their ability to grow slow.
To see humans,
waiting in line at
traffic stops.
While a child
calls a child mom, dad.
As her belly,
like swollen bread
in the oven, as
it grows.
But he says
hush hush no one
will know.
Here’s a cookie,
be quiet.
One million
tears that tried to drown me.
I thought I
couldn’t breathe.
But I swam in my
tears as it flows.
It made puddles
in my dented soul,
as I saw my
image and every image that cause pain.
One million tear
drops that falls from
tired eyes,
splashes on dry ground.
Dead no sound.
Meteor Showers
Grappling to
find peace, the ones that send you spiraling.
Time zone
triggers, as the showers met me.
Gripped
enclosed, as many eyes watched and peeped.
Yellow pupils
stare, as they blinked into the darkness.
They tower over
me, as the showers rained down.
I am not
confused but minding my business.
The lights
flicker, in a rush as if walking on stilts.
They crowded me,
as they tuned in to listen to the next calling.
The showers,
just poured, not harming anyone as it brought peace.
I tried to
capture the greatest show on earth as they marched on.
Not even the
heavy shadows could hide, as the showers rained.
The showers lit
up, as bright smiles danced on high.
It felt like a
resurrection, as sins was washed away.
The light has
come, as the showers brought hope.
A new destiny
into the future, is seen in the distance.
The Universe is
safe, the mass of showers conversed together.
They hugged and
shook hands, closely knit,
a bond not
broken.
The showers
conferenced together,
as they torched
away sorrows and fears.
My Cross
It’s on my back
I carry, it’s heavy, it’s my weight.
My salvation is
calling; I have to make it.
Though I
struggle, LORD! those pierce hands I see.
The blood, that
flowed it’s upon me.
I see your
grace, and mercy surrounding me.
Dive in, Dive in
your beauty unfolds.
I am washed with
the blood.
The communion, I
take is to remember you.
How many times I
nailed you to the cross?
Do you still
feel the nails, every time I fail?
Are you being
crucified all over again?
Salvation calls
me holy, holy.
Light shine upon
me, as I bend my knees.
Please forgive
me.
