For it comes once in a year

Let the New Year

Be the harbinger of peace and prosperity

And all that is finer in this world

Which we so lovingly cherish

Let it be just not another year

Let it be the year of fulfillment

A year of introspection

And reassessment

And a commitment to the values of truth, love

And humanity

So lovingly conserved

By our forefather

Forget not dear

Happy New Year

Is knocking at the door

Let us enjoy, love and wish each other

A very very happy new yyear

SOMETHING I LOOK AT-10

The more

i look at you

the more

i peep into the past

and go down the memory lane

the more I fall in love

I envy

the life you lead

in the midst of nature

the modest belonging

and petty wishes

you had

I have the avenues

that make life

easy and comfortable

but lack

that emotion and passion

and am a lonely man

in the midst of a crowd

Life is hectic and fast

runs as if a machine

dedicated to its task

no time for the other

love and reciprocation

for modern man is

devoid of a heart

l long for

the life you lived

and the death you had

close to self

and in nature's lap.

Sorry

for those tears

the unconditional love

the throbbing heart

and the moist eyes

those are hardly looked into

and taken care of

Sorry

for that winter shower

the midsummer night

the west wind and

the heartless spring

that made a beautiful garden

a dry desert

Sorry

for those sweating days

and calm nights

spent  in utter despair

dreaming

a better tomorrow

that never came by

The lost moments

are gone with the wind

look at the new sun

rising in the horizon

let it paint you

with all thy colours

and give you back

all those nights and days

which are truly yours
