Paradise Apples

reduced tension

somewhere in the distance

a watchmaker

repairs a clock

from before a hundred hundy hunnit

calendars

plunge in by light

spectrum

like paradise apples

in the basket

silk of feelings

from the shoulders

slipped off like a shawl

a wounded tree

with an echo cried

look a cuckoo

no one dared

losses gains

white veil

burned with snow

in frozen atria

shivered

a smile

li li lightly

with a human heart

blue lines on mother's hands

with reflections of lights from a very long road

between the petals of flowers and the sharpness of stones

SHARP WALL

OF DEAF STONES

you were laying stones

first one was the heaviest

then you noticed the greenery

the juicy moss looked lovely

microscopic life pulsated among it

you focused your sight

forest bluebells between the stones

looked like from another fairy tale

thoughtfully

sweetened you the colour

of the flying butterfly

you were building a sharp wall

of deaf stones

of screaming despair

you received an oasis

calmness immersed

in the sounds

of the angelic violin

IRENA EWA IDZIKOWSKA: Born on December 5, 1964 in Poland, she now lives and writes in a tiny Scottish village at the foot of Cheviot Hills. Graduate with a Master's Degree in Economics. Poetess and animator of Polish culture with a passion. Editor and publisher. She has been running poetic and artistic blogs for many years. Published poetry in three e-books (2015): A Walk unto Destiny, Seventeen Bitter Pips and Matte Passion Rain. In 2016-2017, she has published five volumes of poetry at Puffin Print Limited in United Kingdom (in Polish), using the pen name Rena Starska. Her debut was titled Darling, the following are: Perdition, Porcelain, Tangled in the Cockade of Feelings, Echo in Amber. Edited and published polish poetry anthologies: Polish Poets Send Christmas Wishes to Countrymen (2016), Resurrection Before Death (2017), Shades of Polish Poetry 2017 (2017), Shades of Polish Poetry 1918-2018 (2018)  and Special Edition Shades of Polish Poetry 1918-2018 (2019). The poet's poems were and are being published in many anthologies and on various Internet portals, some of them have been translated into foreign languages: Russian and English. From February 2017, she is a member of the Union of Polish Writers Abroad, based in London, United Kingdom.
