SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY
A Look At Life-9
Life is not all about
Dreaming and enduring
It is an opportunity
To look at oneself
And move few steps ahead
It is not an end in itself
Rather a means to the end
The end is to know the truth
That is so far under the veil
To treat life as an end
Is nothing but doing injustice to oneself
And to miss the opportunity
That may not come again and again
Better to get up
And seek the source
From where we have come
To where ultimately we go
Rather be confined to the transition
Temporary and unreal
A Look At Life-10
Things have changed,
people have changed, nothing
remained the same over the years.
The festivals so eagerly awaited for
in the not so distant past have lost its
colours.
The charm and the beauty embedded in it
have lost its glamour making it nothing more than a mere formality.
The feeling and emotion associated
and the way they were felt
and observed in our early childhood
are sadly missing.
The modern man has no time
for the idiocy and romanticism of his
infamous and inglorious predecessors.
Gone are the days.
We no more cherish and relish festivals.
They come and go largely unnoticed without having an iota of festivity
in them the zeal and enthusiasm with which we celebrated raja and dussehra,
the sense of belonging and
fellow feeling associated are but
things of the past,
which our kids can ever fathom and
realise
It is easy to calculate what we have
achieved, very difficult to visualize
what we have lost in the bargain.
After all man is a man
at the end of the day, needs a bit of
these to get away from the tedious
monotony of life.
The spell of sophisticated idiocy
will be over one day and man
has to look back where lies
the nectar of life,
the panacea to all his maladies.
A Look At Life-11
Listen to none.
Go deep into the heart
where lies the beauty of love,
the language of poetry,
the artistic brilliance
of all art and craft
Dive deep
There lies the abode of God,
the nectar of life,
the sanctum of peace and tranquility
and all that is fine and subtle
in this world of ours
Look at
that beautiful garden,
full of colourful flowers,
nice and delicate,
ready to greet and
love each and everyone.
Feel it,
the nicest creation of his.
Do not play with it,
never allow the hot summer
to spoil it,
let it remain close to it
and love and love only
