MARIA GALABOVSKA

Prayer Of An Angel

Please, God, don't take my life away yet,

do not let the sun in my eyes set.

There is so much I want to see,

I don't want this world to flee.

It's still early, I don't have the wings,

I want to see what this life brings.

I want to dive into the flower fields,

my soul for this thrives and yields.

I want to hear the sea and feel the waves,

I want to watch how the seagull flies and behaves.

My life is still young

and should not wither so soon,

I want to shine bright and gloom.

I still didn't feel love,

they say love gives life

and is sent from above.

But like a butterfly,

I feel my life is meant only for a day

and you call me to you even if I want to stay.

But I have one last wish to make,

let me stand again and feel

the breeze in my hair for my sake.

Then If it's meant I'll become an angel

and from this world I’ll fly

I will see heaven as truth and this world as a lie.

Love Honey

I loved you like a bee loves a flower,

but the honey you made was not sweet but sour.

The love honey quickly turned

the moody weather into sunny.

In the beginning,

I didn't know the honey you made was sour,

like a magician you took me under your power.

I was surrounded by flowers,

but snakes were hiding underneath,

when the flowers withered, I couldn't breathe.

The love in your words disappeared

dark clouds in the sky appeared.

You changed so fast

and I believed our love would last.

You went away,

but the sweet memories of you

will always stay.

I erased the bad memories

and I remember only when everything was fine,

when there still was love

and you made me feel divine.

The sour honey I turned into sweet,

I imagined you changed too

and our hearts again would meet.

But bees come to the flower

only to make honey,

they leave after searching for other flowers

to make their world sunny.

My Darling

The sky can be blue,

 the sky can be pink,

but darling you’re the only one

of who I can think.

You may be far,

 you may be close,

But you’re the one

 I love the most.

Your lips are soft

like petals of a rose,

I always need your kisses

in a great dose.

I can’t get your ocean eyes

 out of my mind,

Always when I look at them,

they make me blind.

I am not interested in the rest,

For me, you are the best.

I say this from my heart

you’re my winning card.
