MARINA MIJAKOVSKA

Rapture

I want to fall in love

in the ancient way.

The strings of blessed battles

to last as long as the eternal force

of the twelve gods.

In the following centuries

the breast

of the new Troy

will be exposed,

to love you

under the excavations of the city.

Silky Shadows

The canvas of historical truths

is created by men.

Everyone wants to taste the truth

to know what to truly believe in.

Their steel chest protect

the mute woman under the oak shadows.

The new canvases wear

embroideries of harsh truths

created by women themselves.

Each of us has a right

with the colored voice

to share

the silken sufferings.

Passion Quietly Evaporates

This city is divided,

nothing is the same anymore.

In this city

the languages of resistance

are hollowing out the fiery hemispheres.

From blood

I will

draw you

a circle of eternity

and on your palms

I will bring it to you

the Bran's castle.

The real feelings

always

conquer

the death's head.

In safe hands

the smiles

will keep it for us

the flesh under the cloak

of Vlad Tepes.

From the breath

on

the bloody lips

passion slowly evaporates.
