By The Sea
The sea froths
as he gathers around the boulders
that are
standing like guards near the beach;
the beach was so
empty and pristine;
no sound other
than that of the waves
or bird that
flew overhead
chirping happily
after his morning catch.
I stand and
watch the sunrise
as he showers
the earth
with his colors
in a cloud of yellow dust.
The water
glitters as the sun rays fall upon it
twinkling in
daylight like there was gold dust upon it.
He Is The One And Only
And yes if we
believe in Him,
we have to obey
Him, then we can receive eternal life,
a beautiful
life,
a life that is
without any pain
without any
stress
a life full of
happiness!
All we need to
do it to follow the Lord,
be like Him and
do as He says,
all He asks you
is to believe when you ask
that you have
received it and you will.
No amount of
money,
no amount of
fame,
no amount of the
worldly things
can take you to
Him;
but give up
everything in the world;
remember He is
the Only One,
the Only living
God;
we can get what
we want only through Him.
Everything that
you own belongs to Him
you are being
blessed by Him,
so share what
you have extra
and you will be
blessed in twofold.
Nothing of these
worldly pleasures
can get you to
go to Him
if you don't
follow Him,
that is why time
and again He says '
I am the way the
truth and the life
nothing comes to
the Father except through me!
So, come along
now it is not too late,
He is waiting
with open arms
to welcome each
one of you that have been led astray!
The Indoor Fair
Yesterday I went
to an indoor fair
that was really
over-crowded;
being a holiday
it was filled with families.
The food out
there I must say was awesome,
for the hotdogs
almost burnt my lips
with sauce oozing
out,
and the Chinese
dishes were made by a man from Nepal,
the butter
chicken with nan was the tastiest, but
to top it all
was the ice cream stand
he made ice
cream from fresh fruits instantly,
every child got
a free scoop, but adults had to pay for theirs,
the fish and
chips stand was also very busy
a big queue of
parents stood awaiting their turn
the fish was so
fresh and was fried perfectly;
the candy floss
was a hit with children
all walking
around with one in their hand.
I enjoyed the
crazy games that they played,
I won a teddy
bear as a prize
and saw a little
child envy my prize.
It was so noisy
that by the time it was evening
my head began to
hurt,
I was tired and
decided to return back
but I enjoyed
the food and brought back some too.
When I fell
asleep
I had a
nightmare that I was lost at the fair
woke up all
sweating but glad I was on my bed
next to my teddy
bear.
As The Moon Rose
You said Let’s
meet by the riverbed
I sat under the
tree,
admiring the
trees and the birds
as they chirped
and flew from branch to branch so happily.
The sun began to
set
painting the
earth in amber;
throwing shadows
across the river
I looked at my
watch
time had flown;
you hadn’t come yet.
I tried calling
you, but no answer
I got worried
but sat beside the river
As the fisherman
sailed past me
he waved out,
asking if I needed a ride
I waved back and
said no.
My heart was
beating, my thoughts running wild
Where were you?
Why haven’t you
come yet?
No answer when I
called.
I got up and
took my bag
and started to
walk in slow, heavy steps
breathing hard,
thinking about what must have gone wrong.
as darkness set
in and the moon rose,
silhouettes were
cast,
a few steps I
take, I see what I must not see.
My eyes flooded,
My hands cold
I stand frozen.
