STRENGTH – A WEAPON OR A CHOICE
I allow strength to conquer me
As I have no other choice
Living is such,
Meant to see us submit to it
While inscribing upon actions’
list,
Our list of sins should we choose
to escape it!
I allow strength to conquer me
By hiding my hurt stance
Behind a mask,
An image,
One displaying the array of a
bubbling doll,
As such is what the rest of the
world wishes to see!
Care they not to see how damaged
are my wings
While I broke free
From the cage I was trapped in
Care they not see that I fly low
While my envious gaze fixes the
other birds of my kind
Those having had not their wings
broken
Those flying in the realms found up
in those heights
I shall never ever get a whiff of!
Why, strength shall be my weapon
As long as my breath shall allow it
to
After all, the happenings of Earth
are meant not to matter
But when the skies have voiced out
their wish
Wish which has to be fulfilled
In ways which are way above my head
for me to handle
Pray,
Does strength really become my
weapon
Or does it become a state of having
no other choice?
LOVE’S CANVAS
Love’s origin has been painted in
acrylic
By the hands deciding upon our
fates!
Love’s meaning has been thundered
to me
Once, when the blue skies seemed laden
with doom!
Love’s new avenues have been
whispered to me
While I was roaming in between the
mystical spheres!
But Love seems to be unaware of its
own course
Love seems doubtful, indifferent
even
Love seems to enjoy playing there
where the grass is green
And there where nymphs swim in lazy
delights!
And I, without Love’s tenderness,
Remain a fractured porcelain doll
Broken in pieces which shall never
be reassembled
But which gives the impressing of
having been put into place
By the powers of the skies!
Love’s bed in my heart remains cold
and empty
After all, I would sleep not there
without Love
Shall I solely resort to drown
myself
In those polluted seas of Earth’s
havoc
Hoping, by doing such,
That I shall believe that I exist
not
So that I may forget
That even if the skies made their
wishes known to me
Love, chose to paint another canvas
for itself!
HOME
I remain tied to the skies
As they are from where I fell
And they are there where I shall
end up!
I remain tied to the skies
For the power they hold over me
By giving me little jolts at times
Which help me to understand life
And to love life!
Why, what is the sense of this
world
When we know not what is waiting
for us at the next step
Our plans do get foiled
Our expectations do materialize not
Our joys get snatched away
And our hopes, broken and
shattered!
We only have to keep our hands
folded at times
Yearning for mercy from the skies
Or we have to keep our palms open
Thereby telling the skies
That we shall forsake ourselves and
our wants
Only to accept that which they
shall thrust upon us!
Pray, however much the world tries
to
It shall never end up in making me
find my place here
My roots are up there,
In someplace where living is fair
I have already planted the seeds of
those creepers though,
They shall grow and reach this
forgotten abode
And I shall crawl upon them
To get back home!
