ANDROMACHI BENEKOU

To My Dad 1991

You stand upright in the twilight

sea image

I'm only staring at you

from a hidden soul.

You hold fast a golden yoke

you silently remind

life course to the truth

with this you incense me!

My complaint is strong

you left us in the way

to whom shall I give "this gift"

I have the question.

You fed me, you clothed me

until thirteen

You kept swearing at me

to be worthy for degrees.

I followed everything you said

with my modest soul

In your actions I walked

All my life

Why did you leave us early?

in the skies of the orange grove

as a spring royal purple

I tasted your love of a century!

Firefly

Snow white flakes

that touch me in Pasarona!

Your smile is round

it sends me the lightning of your eyes

That follows me...

Your gaze makes me cringe!

Show me the way with sunflowers

that lead to your arms!

I am fire fly in a lavender garden

of your brown hair!

You met me for the first time on my holiday

to wish me “Happy Birthday"!

I want you near Akmona near Pasarona...

Don't let your hand slip while leaving

mine! never let it go

following swallow migratory routes ....

I follow the lemon blossoms of your eyes

that drive me in the bending of the stars

that erase the blue sky of my life!

You bring me wild cherries, my round smiley

with the winged dreams of our travels!!!!

You took from me the spoils of my life's war,

long unsalvageable

I follow you in the sky of your stars!

You make me a handmade raft,

I reach out from the rough sea of the waves.

You save me, I follow you into the light

the twinkle in your eyes,

I follow you on the hum

of the love of wild bees,

my round smile!

Nireida

In a beautiful garden

With fruit trees

I hear canary unique

to basil, to wild mint!

As Aeolus becomes North

she spreads rumors carelessly

under the pomegranate leaves

with the wild bee she flies!

A small dewdrop is falling

slim-bodied, small Nereida

she has fast feet, as a ship

looks like some kind of "Dizzy"...

Tramples leaves, tastes azaleas

she waters thyme, throws quartz

in the mega garden the workshop...

She loves anonymous cats

our little Fairy

she greets Hera and Zeus

in our path, lies...

It is a magnificent painting

Nereida with the kitten

on the bed of the road hugging

And above them a butterfly...
