I’m Not Fooled
Four walls stare
back at me
One side is
painted blue
dotted with
brush strokes of white
to give the
effect of the skies
so I don't feel
closed in
the ceiling is
stark white with the
fan whirring
blowing breeze
as though nature
resides within
to lift the
sunken mood, I'm in
Lavender air
freshener spurts
sprays thrice,
every thirty
minutes
I'm not fooled
by any of these
Four walls
cannot with nature compete

He Loves Me
He Loves Me Not
Which way the
wind doth blows
Weatherman
doesn't even know
Sometimes hot,
sometimes cold
like the human
mind changing sides
the disparity in
thoughts runs wide
a feeling that
all is not right
Sometimes
carrying dust-laden winds
gets into the
eyes, blinds vision,
perchance happen
to be in its path
best to take the
closest exit
rather than be
kept guessing
He loves me; He
loves me not

Nonentity
The sun shifts
as the day
grows old
bleached grey
skies
replaced by the
blues
In the mind,
there's a jumble
of thoughts
unknotting them
keeps me
preoccupied
And once they
fit
into the whole
mind is calmed
and the soul
heaves a sigh
turbulence stops
Now I have
learned
to relax
after the day is
gone
for soon I will
become
that dot of the full-stop
