CHRISTOS DIKBASANIS

Truths

Fire falls from the burning sky

At the children's feet

dreams are mortally wounded

Dust covers early lusts of startled children,

interrupting abruptly their innocent games

Among the broken branches

of their unripe pursuits

the truths of the world dissolve

They sink into the seas

of vulgar expressions and excuses

of the rulers of the Earth

that bleed the early expectations of tomorrow's

Children's hearts beat fast

but in the ears of adults

only a distant hum is arrive

Greed and the unquenchable thirst for power

they become knives in the body

of children's fantasies

for a colorful and peaceful planet

It covers the eternal darkness with his black veil

the souls of the little angels

The shrill, happy voices

and the shaky, clear laugh of small children

leave through the burned neighborhoods of the world,

spreading the loss around

and the definitive absence

Walking In The Eternal Night

In eternal darkness of my two-faced, mechanical life

and the intersecting moments of my unformed self

I’ve been walking without dreams and thoughts

I moved forward without my will to destinations I didn't choose

A breath of coolness never dripped in my metal body

A melody even of broken strings of a universal harp

never sweetened my ears

In monotonous commands only obedient

I’m wasting now my energy

in pointless performances and waiting for nothing

I will never meet with the Eternal Light

I have always been a dweller of eternal night,

a ruin forgotten from gods and demons

in some lonely desert

I am a miserable result of an incorrect equation

I've never made a breakthrough,

trying my personal happiness

I am a monster

I born for the total destruction

of short-lived sensations and emotions

And yet I keep moving as a programmed android

within otherworldly societies of indifferent people

I'm slowly sinking in the steel body of my being

I know I'll log out sometime

from my tight schedules

without facing the birth of my restless soul

The Depths Of Existence

You travel

with all your senses

on the road to infinity

You travel

to the deepest hidden star within yourself

Astro travel is not to be afraid

Don't be afraid the penetration into the black hole

of his search!

Sail the oceans of guilt and your regrets

fearlessly and responsibly

Don't hesitate ahead

in correcting your mistakes!

Capture in your dreams

your every cosmic moment!

Don't be ashamed to cry

in the starry night!

Don't shy away from sacrifice

of your fleeting, perishable desires

upon the altar of your awakening!

Don't run away

from your innocent and pure feelings!
