A Nestling
Evening’s song
Reverberates in
the mountains
While shadows
return to self
Thickening the
darkness.
A nestling
Waits with
profound anxiety
For a beak full
of grains
The dark silence
shudders with a cry
If the mother
gets late
Beyond a
reasonable expectation
Unlike an old
woman
Awaits a phone
call of her children
A drop of tear
From the
helpless eyes
Agitates the
inarticulate darkness,
If, at all , the
only hope is razed.
The shades of
innocence
Fall apart in
the early dusk and bleed with their muted dreams
The stars
hanging from the sky above
Wilt with deep
woe
As the shadows
fade in the total darkness.
Our Home ...
Moon wilts in
the sky
So do the tides
in the Oceans
The tides break
in to ripples and gently smile on hitting the shore
Unlike we look
for life in the dark coast
While wandering ashore.
We try to gather
all precious stones of harmony
We melt the
mightier and crescent icebergs of distrust
Through a
miraculous symphony of faith
Our shadows grow
bigger and bigger to reach a multitude height
Here millions
suffer and turn to stones
Walls of
skeletons washed with tears of innocent soul
Alas!
We never
appreciate nor acknowledge
That we are on a
short sojourn
On this planet
earth
That we call our
home ...
A Deluded Limbo
Many a
difficulty,
Like tempests
and deluges
Confront me on
my way
Off and on.
My boat is
entangled
In the quagmire
of dark dungeons
And oscillates
to and from
Heading towards
a deluded massacre.
Alas!
The true path is
deviated
In lieu of
progress.
I feel restless
and frozen in fear
To search your
where abouts
As I lose my
existence without you,
And am totally
lost.
I can neither
avoid the smell of earthly clay
Nor can I soar
in the sky
Oh God!
Forgive me, I am
just a limbo
