TANNI BOSE
SOLITARY
ADIEU
It was a chaotic voyage inward
nameless destination
Me alone and you in feelings
Crossing meadow, river, mountain
and dessert
Every character of land form – a
confronting test.
Green pastures of optimism -guiding
Delighted, motivated, hope escalate
I arrive at the river.
No boatman, no vessel…but I swim
I swim towards dream.
But,
With mountain at my adversity -I
ponder
I hear a voice
Call my name- embrace me tenderly
Steep climb escorted by hands
familiar
I reach the desolate desert
I Wait-
Will I cross it, hopefully- Yes?
Or will the desert turn green?
I wait-
I say a silent adieu to the hands
that held me close
I say a silent adieu for she is no
more.

MOLESTED CLAY
An
insignificant heap of untainted clay
Lay
unattended near the temple
One
day a hand surfaced for its rescue
for
its release, for its liberation.
Molded,
fashioned, designed and reshaped it
Again
it underwent modifications
Every
new identity was matchless.
Then,
The
hand turned the clay into a lovely maiden
Offered
it color
Colour
of passion, colour of faith, colour of custody
The
nameless clay converted to “she”
“She”
was standing on the shelf
Waiting
for reason unknown
All
over again many hands “grabbed” it
and
inspected with scrutinizing black eyes
Examined
it……..
By
evening she was still waiting at the fair
A
strong wind with rough rain
Blew
off the fake roof of the shop
She
was drenched
Became
colourless, slowly melted away in to the soil
At
last - a reunion.

THE MATTER OF SYMBIOSIS
In an uncluttered and open zone for
combat
Where we are nested with safe
refuge
Where we are insecure, yet boost of
plethora of security
Where we pompously carry an armor
to shield our corrugated self
Where life stands on foot and
struggles to balance
But,
At the end of the long-drawn day
The dream of symbiosis constellates
our mind
And we believe we are betrayed.

THE KISS-
Like consuming nectar
The nectar of immortality
Housed on your modest lips
Why do you say it’s just a kiss?
It’s breathing life for a lifetime
It’s all in your lips.

With dreams distressed
Rooted to the profundity of ocean
As escorted under duress, she lay still
Chill, taciturn, embraced in warmth
The moon cursed its helpless
presence
Searched for clouds to disappear
She visualized the solitary moon
Beamed at its beautified yet
helpless coldness
Blind to the expression next to her
The fragranced flower smelt rotten
Fissure in heart broadened
Relieved her as tears and him as lust
Potent time had clogged for her
It was her final take on life.

TANNI BOSE
Mrs. TANNI
BOSE works as an educator in Aravali International School, Faridabad.
She was an English Teacher at Tendruk Higher Secondary School of the Royal
Government of Bhutan. She hails from Kolkata, West Bengal and was born and
brought up in the steel city of Rourkela, since her father was a SAIL employee.
Writing was always a passion for Mrs. Tanni. During her high school days she
discovered that she was in romance with literature. It formally bloomed in 2012
when her first anthology of poems “Dawn and Dusk” was published. Her readers,
including critics confessed that a new breeze in poetry writing is here to blow
to soothe and to pacify the parched minds of the enthusiastic readers. Her passion for reading and writing assured
her a berth in the Writers Association of Bhutan and the Edu Talk where she
contemplates to make the readers ponder, delight and at times wrinkle their
brows. Her writing in Social Medias and her blog “A Grain of Faith” are being
followed by many. Her writings in “Student Digest and Norzam Speaks” both
publications in Bhutan are well taken by readers at large. She also contributes
regularly in the international journal by Ciberwitnet.com “Taj Mahal Review”
and online magazines of World Union of Poets, South Asia. Pentasi B World
Friendship Poetry, NERUDA Literary Club, Poetry for peace, OPA etc. She was

Friendship Poetry Festival as a coordinating member. After publishing the book
“Dawn and Dusk”, she continued her literary work in the poetry world. “Floating Stones” is her second work of
poems, ringing the inescapable paradox of existential pulls and pushes. The
poetess here is swayed by multiple senses and sensibilities, reflected in these
poems. Her third Book “The Molested Clay” was released at the SAARC Literary
Festival 2016 at Jaipur and he fourth book “The Clipped Lady” at the PENTASI B
World Friendship Poetry Festival, 2017, Hydrabad. Writing apart, Mrs. Bose
loves reading, music and her students. Love given reciprocates she has a
passion for pets and a thorough family woman. After all – books support her;
music heals her aches and her students adore her. Life then becomes poetry to
her.
