OBLIVION

I stay in your memory

not to forgive oblivion

Do not get lost without consciousness of

my loneliness

Do not hurt as I gaze

your critical eye

I want you  next to me,

in every beat of my heart to feel you

In my every attitude,

breath to take from your echo

to reign in the sunless alleys

of your medieval streets

Just as old Gaius, Julius Caesar

during their course

and the Sacred Augustine in his Theology…

PRAISE OF LOVE

Words are worthless to show

what the sun is hiding ...

The passion is multiple, juicy and nice

puts wings in our youth,

to the oestrus of our lives

It really gives power to get up

leads us  to his crypt ...

We joke together nostalgically

Love unites the peoples,

affects the whole world

mitigates the extremes

gives joy to life,  does not know what means hate

That is why her verse should flourish worthily in our soul…

DREAM OF OASIS

To the parable of glory

the svelte girl of youth,

is imaginatively driven,

to the endless passion,

Spontaneous, mysterious life

Give her your lights

Be careful not to lose her way

Build  bridges, secure stations

Of joy, dexterity, happiness

Grasp her shoulder gently

Irritate the  memories

Of peaceful birds and hope ...

Lead her to the delightful

Labyrinth of knowledge

SOFIA SKLEIDA

SOFIA SKLEIDA was born in Athens. She is graduate of Faculty of Letters, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.  She has a MA in Pedagogy , a PhD in Comparative Pedagogy and she is also a postdoctoral candidate (Faculty of Theology, University of Athens). Her scientific interests involve Teaching, School Psychology, Special Education, Ancient and New Greek Literature. She has worked as a translator in the Greek Embassy in Italy, in the Greek Community of Rome and to other institutions for Greek language, where she taught the Greek language in adults as a foreign language. Also, the Italian language in private institutions and the Greek language in the Italian School of Athens the last years. She has taught the lesson of Judicial Psychology-Psychiatry in the Faculty of Police Officers. She publishes articles in the Greek and international scientific journals, in conference papers and chapters books. She has been awarded for her participation in poetry and literary competitions in Greece and abroad. She has been elected and distinguished as ambassadress of Culture for Greece by the International Cultural Organization Universum Academy Switzerland (International University of Peace ,May 2016, Lugano, Switzerland). She is a judge member of  the International Literature Contest. She published her first collection of pοetry (Amphictyon of Hellenism, Department of Literature, Thessaloniki, 2014) entitled Dream of Oasis, which has been translated and published in Italy in 2017 and won the second prize at the international competition in Milan. A poem of the same collection became a song. Her first Fairy tale entitled Geometroulides published in 2016. Recently were published her second and third collection of poetry entitled Neologisms and Melismos. She is a regular member at the Panhellenic Union of Writers.
